Greg Usher, Managing Director

Following a short career in football, Greg went on to achieve an MBA from Loughborough University before working for a sports education provider managing schools across London.

Greg knows first-hand how complex events can be - from managing multiple sessions and timeslots to handling dietary requirements, capacity limits, and last-minute changes. He believes fango takes that complexity off your plate, creating a seamless experience for your guests while giving operators the visibility and control they need to run events profitably. It's not just a ticketing system; it's a smarter way to manage your most complicated events.

Joe Gateshill, Managing Director

Joe completed an Engineering Master's degree at the University of Cambridge, where he developed a passion for solving complex problems through smart design. He went on to join Jaguar Land Rover's prestigious Product Development Graduate Programme, where he was heavily involved in the development of the I-Pace - Jaguar's first all-electric vehicle.

That experience gave Joe a deep understanding of how great engineering can transform an industry, and he brought that same mindset with him when he left Jaguar Land Rover in 2017 to devote his full attention to fango. As co-founder, Joe has been the driving force behind the platform's technical architecture - building a system that's powerful enough to handle the most complex events, yet intuitive enough for any operator to use with confidence.

Fango was founded by lifelong friends Greg and Joe to make hotel and venue events easy.

What began as a simple pre-ordering app has grown into a powerful, intuitive platform that helps hospitality teams deliver exceptional weddings, ticketed events and banqueting.

From our Yorkshire base, we combine friendly, approachable service with world-class expertise. Joe, a Cambridge-educated engineer and former Jaguar Land Rover innovator, leads our technical vision. Greg, a business strategist and former professional footballer, brings discipline, teamwork and drives our growth and client partnerships.

Our mission is simple: to equip hotels and venues with easy-to-use tools that save time, reduce stress and let staff focus on creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Small Business Saturday UK

The fango team were proud to be named one of the UK’s top 100 small businesses as part of the Small Biz 100 scheme, founded by American Express.

The recognition brought national and local press coverage and exclusive invitations to receptions at Downing Street and The House of Lords.

Our Co-Founder, Greg Usher, said:

"We pride ourselves on working closely with each client, listening carefully to their needs before delivering a solution. The whole team is thrilled that our work has been recognised, and we loved celebrating alongside the other top 100 businesses at the House of Lords."
